I Don't Know Why I Found This Amusing

I just read the following headline from the Humane Society in our local paper:

'Cujo', other dogs, cats available for adoption

If you had a dog that you were trying to find a home for, would you name it 'Cujo'?

Really?

I wonder if people are going into the Humane Society and looking at the available dogs: Fluffy, Fido, Spot, Rex etc. And then they see 'Cujo' and think "Yeah, that's the one. The one named after a rabid possessed St. Bernard."

I think the Humane Society needs some help with their marketing. I'm just sayin'.

You never know what's going to come out of our little newspaper do you. I think you need a little Cujo...

I agree with Steph....your family totally needs a Cujo! Wonder what kind of dog it was anyway...probably a little lap dog.

This is Amber's aunt, sticking her nose in. HI!

I just had to respond to this post because my two little pups, Molly & McGee, have two other brothers, and one of them, my 44 yo nephew named Cujo. This little guy is a poodle/dachshund mix with short, wiry, blond fur, and weighs about 5 or so pounds. The pups are almost 6 mo old. Would I have named him that? I don't THINK so! (I saw the movie!)

ps. MY little ones are poodle & pomeranian mix and they are black and tan and twice the size of Cujo!

Have a great day!

Very funny, Lisa.

I would have thought the same thing if I'd noticed that ad.

By the way, I was reading some Girl Scout paperwork yesterday (for a very big upcoming sales campaign) and noticed two glaring typos. I think the Humane Society should hire you to help with their marketing, and the Girl Scouts should hire me to help with their proofreading.

Ah, no thanks on the Cujo! Have these people ever heard of marketing? Name him something cute like Fluffy and they might have some takers! :)
